Physique Pictorial [New]

After a 27-year hiatus, Bob Mizer's famous little male physique

magazine is back.

Launched by photographer Bob Mizer in 1951, original issues of the PP are highly sought after collector's items, by both collectors and admirers. Mizer used the magazine as way to promote other artists and photographers such as Tom of Finland, Bruce of LA and Lon of New York. In return, Physique Pictorial has been a source of inspiration for such diverse artists as David Hockney and Robert Mapplethorpe.

Each issue of the new quarterly will feature unique portfolios from the Bob Mizer Foundation archives, along with the work of Bob's contemporaries -- photographers such as Bruce of Los Angeles, Dave Martin and Denny Denfield.

The size of the new quarterly? Bigger and thicker. And really elegant -- 84 pages and larger dimensions: 6.5 x 9 inches. And it's bound in a beautiful archival-quality, French flap cover stock!

In keeping with Mizer’s pioneering spirit, the new quarterly will also display profiles and portfolios from emerging contemporary photographers and illustrators who celebrate the male physique.
